Our Story

Established in 1984 by Diane E. and David E. Alberthal as a HUFCOR operable wall distributor, DEA has grown to include numerous products in the Division 10 Construction Specialty arena. From our very first project, the Marriott River Center project 26 years ago, to our current list of ongoing projects in San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, and surrounding areas, DEA has earned the title as The Trusted Specialist.

From its inception, the company's initial objective was to hire the best people, complete all jobs with the precision of a craftsman, share the rewards with the employees, all with the intended goal of delivering high quality work. The company has never wavered from that vision and today, the strategic objectives are the same.

DEA markets, sells, estimates, installs and manages projects for general contractors and building owners. In addition, DEA assists architects, interior designers and facility managers with plans and specifications while servicing the hospitality industry and repairing most brands of operable partitions. We offer design and pricing assistance, sales, installation and service. The company is a woman-owned building specialties firm located in San Antonio.
